Group aims to lend a helping hand to the needy

The group requires needy children and families to register their particulars at Msogwaba Library from this Friday (June 10) until next week Wednesday (June 15) between 10:00 and 13:00.

PIENAAR – An organisation aiming to lend a helping hand to the poorest of the poor from Pienaar and surrounding areas has been established by a group of small business owners known as the Lahlangidobhe Concerned Group.

The group’s name is a SiSwati version of the idiom: “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
They use whatever they have at hand to bring a smiling face to the needy.

According to Ms Fikile Lubisi, director of MSK Security, the group tries to buy school uniforms and supply food parcels to the poor.
“This is how we pay our tithes to thank God and our ancestors for every profit we make,” she says.

“They should bring copies of their ID and birth certificates for the registration processes. We will look at their needs and see how we can help in the short term or in the long term,” adds Mr Sam Mnisi, the group’s publicity manager.
