Mabuza wishes Muslim community a happy Ramadaan Kareem

He said he hoped they would also pray for the peaceful, free and fair local government elections during this time.

MBOMBELA – Premier David Mabuza has joined many others in wishing the Muslim community a happy Ramadaan.
It is that time of the year when Muslims observe the annual fasting season to commemorate the time when Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohamed (PBUH).
Even in Mpumalanga there is a large Muslim community and it is in this regard that Mabuza wishes them a happy holy month as they begin their fasting journey for the next 29 or 30 days, depending on the moon cycle.
“We are a province of many religions, today we have courage to wish our Muslims brothers and sisters a happy and peaceful Ramadan. May they be guided throughout their journey, and their prayers be answered.

On behalf of the people and provincial government of Mpumalanga, we are with them during this period. We support them and we appreciate their religion, as we said ‘South Africa belongs to all who live in it’,” said Mabuza.

He said he hoped they would also pray for the peaceful, free and fair local government elections during this time.
