MBOMBELA – The Miss Tourism Universe auditions will get underway at the Garden Court in Morning side, Sandton on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10.00 to pick eligible finalists that will battle for the South African queen title to be held at the Emnotweni Arena on July 16.
According to principal director of the organizing company, Mzimari Productions’ CEO, Ms Gugu Nyarenda, contestants that are eligible to enter should be 1.7 meters tall and above and should be between 18-24 years of age.
“That’s the prerequisite for entry, but added to that, the contestants must have some modelling experience, be beautiful and be knowledgeable about the tourism industry of South Africa, the African Continent and the world over.
“The auditions are being held in Sandton because it is central to all nine provinces of the country, but the main event will see a convergence of the country’s leading personalities all gathered here at Emnotweni Arena.
You can imagine how the red carpet will be like as photographers from the local and national media will be grappling for space to capture the event.
“All nine provinces will be equitably represented through delegates and tourism products that will be showcased throughout the event.
We are more than ready to host the event,” she ended.
