MBOMBELA – The management of the Trans African Concessions (TRAC) N4 Toll Route warns drivers of heavy vehicles to be aware of criminal activities happening at night near or on this road.
“Truck drivers must avoid parking near the roads and plazas at night. They are targeted by criminals. We have received reports of incidents where drivers have been robbed off their belongings and cash while parked to rest next to the road,” said TRAC CEO, Mr Graham Esterhuizen during a media tour on the N4 from Middelburg Plaza to Maputo Harbour last week.
“We will try to improve safety near plazas, but we want drivers to be very careful as they are targeted,” he added.
