MEC to sign agreement with driving school owners

The agreement is a joint pledge between the driving schools and the department.

MBOMBELA – As part of ensuring that driving schools also played a role in promoting road safety today, the MEC for community safety, security and liaison, Mr Vusi Shongwe will tomorrow be signing an agreement on the regulations of driving schools together with driving school owners in the lowveld.
The agreement is a joint pledge between the driving schools and the department.
This comes after the department in the province identified a need for informed and coordinated effort to promote road safety education through practical involvement of all stakeholders.
Mpumalanga News learnt that this initiative will play a significant role in uprooting the corruption that is allegedly taking place in some of the driving schools such as Mhala driving school.
