“We acted swiftly and launched a search in the suspect’s house where we found dagga with the street value of R 70 000."

TONGA –A 42-year-old man is due to appear before the Nkomazi magistrate’s court after being found in possession of dagga.

According to the police, the suspect was arrested this morning, after they received a tip-off.

“We acted swiftly and launched a search in the suspect’s house where we found dagga with the street value of R 70 000. He is expected to greet the magistrate soon,” said Lt Mzwandile Nyambi of Tonga SAPS.

The station commander, Brig Velisiwe Mdaka, has condemned the use and selling of drugs, labelling them as a source of crime.

“When one uses drugs, they don’t think straight, and some end up stealing, raping, or breaking into people’s houses. The list is endless,” said Mdaka.
