ANC congratulates Mthembu on his appointment as Chief Whip
Mthembu needs no introduction to the people of Mpumalanga having tirelessly, selflessly and meticulously served the people of the province and indeed the country since the inception of the democratic dispensation in 1994.
The African National Congress in Mpumalanga congratulates Comrade Jackson Mthembu on his appointment as Chief Whip of the Majority Party in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.
Mthembu needs no introduction to the people of Mpumalanga having tirelessly, selflessly and meticulously served the people of the province and indeed the country since the inception of the democratic dispensation in 1994. Mthembu is an all- round, tried and tested leader of the ANC. He carries immense knowledge and experience in the legislative sector of governance, having fulfilled various roles including that of being the Speaker and chief whip of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature.
“The ANC is therefore confident that Mthembu’s leadership will lead the ANC caucus and serve our people with distinction. We have no doubt that, in his new role, the chief whip will do well in advancing the ANC’s policy objectives,” said the ANC in a statement.
