Learners competes in water purification projects

The competition will take place at the University of Mpumalanga from 09:00.

MBOMBELA – High school learners from 24 schools across the province will showcase their prowess and scientific skills on how to save and purify water during a Water Purification Competition today. ( Saturday March 12).

The top three learners will each receive cash prizes between R4 000 and R2 000 plus trophies, certificates and scientific calculators, their teachers will also be awarded for their dedication and hard work.

The competition will take place at the University of Mpumalanga from 09:00. It is proudly sponsored by the Mbombela Department of Water and Sanitation Operations, Inkomati Usuthu Catchment Agency, Sappi, Rand Water, Sembcorp Silulumanzi, Kobwa to name a few of the list of sponsors.

Mr Themba Khoza, spokesperson for the Mbombela’s department of Water and Sanitation Operations urged members of the community to save and use water sparingly.
