Ehlanzeni ready to host Aids Councils meeting

Mpumalanga News learnt that this province is in thesecond position when it comes to people who are living with the virus after KwaZulu-Natal.

MBOMBELA – Delegates from the Local Aids Council in different local municipalities around the Lowveld region are expected to come in numbers today at the disaster centre in Ehlanzeni District Municipality.
The delegates will be sharing ideas on how to fight against HIV& Aids and also to highlight about the achievement and the challenges that are still faced by the councils in the district.
Mpumalanga News learnt that this province is in thesecond position when it comes to people who are living with the virus after KwaZulu-Natal .
During the previous meeting that was held at the Kamhlushwa community hall, the provincial chairperson of the council, Premier David Mabuza stated that his is determined to make history by reducing the number of people who are affected by Aids as he was quoted saying:

“I believe that if we work as a team, we can win this battle. I want this province to break a record when it comes to reducing the number of people who are living with the disease. I am appealing to lay counsellors to be visible to the community.”
