MBOMBELA – The Mpumalanga Gambling Board (MGB) and Mzimari Productions proudly present the sixth edition of Crowning Miss Mpumalanga 2016. April 9 is the day on which the fairest of them all will be crowned, but it comes with a bagful of surprises for patrons. The venue that has changed from Emnotweni Arena to the Church on the Hill, outside KaMagugu.

The new venue proved a better choice for the audience as it is very spacious.

“We take pride in this event, to be groomers of young women who have taken our purpose and continually spread it among communities. The girls are also able to converse with their peers who are involved in illegal and irresponsible gambling. Each year we hold our breath, hoping we get the right girl, and we always do, but this year’s show will be even better than the others we’ve hosted,” said MGB CEO, Mr Bheki Mlambo.

Mzimari CEO, Ms Gugu Nyarenda said, “This brand has grown tremendously, and as it grows so do the numbers of those who associate with it. That’s when you have to cater for your supporters and still offer them that comfort zone, hence the move to a bigger venue. You also have a situation of the finalists’ families, friends and other supporters needing admission to the show. Let alone local socialites who demand class, and we offer that class.

“I know my audience by now, they want class and nothing else, hence my production team is already on their feet, ready to produce the best show, that far surpasses the previous ones.

I trust that the stage and seating arrangement will ensure that everyone has a clear view of the proceedings. The lighting and stage set-up will be unique, very different from the previous five years.

“I’m still keeping the artist line-up close to my chest, it is a big surprise. The artists on the line-up will be very suitable for the super show that is in store for guests on this night,” she explained.

She has assured patrons that safety and security will be tight at the venue.
