Blood shed in school premises

BHUGA – Not so long ago, Sibhulo Secondary School made headlines after grade 12 learners claimed that they were attacked by evil spirits in their classroom during their study camps. However, things have turned for the worse as there has been bloodshed at the school.
In a bizarre incident last week Thursday blood was shed in the school premises after some learners stabbed each while others were watching.Four learners were left with stab wounds on different parts of their bodies.

The whole drama that left other learners traumatized, started after the four learners were mocking at each other.

They were rushed to Themba hospital where three of them were treated and discharged. One is still in hospital after sustaining severe head injuries.
The incident occurred after some few weeks the Kabokweni police visited the school and interacted with learners through their school safety program, motivating them and warned them about drugs.
The spokesperson of the police, Capt Shirley Ngomane confirmed the incident as she alluded:

“We did receive a complaint about this incident and when police arrived, we discovered that four learners were involved and they had sustained stabbed wounds on the head, shoulders, cheek and the victims ranged between 18 to 21 years old. They were admitted to our local hospital for treatment.“
Ngomane also indicated that they will continue to monitor the school and put extra measures to curb such incidents.
Early last month parents called on the Department of Education to revive the culture of morning devotions in assembly every as an effort to cast out evil spirits.
