DA worries about corrupt police officers

"Active steps must be taken to rid the system of corrupt members."

MBOMBELA – DA in the province has raised a serious concern regarding the increasing number of police who are allegedly involved in crime activities.
Their concern comes after some few days when two police officers were arrested after they wear found in possession of large amount of dagga.
It is reported that they were found with 10 kg of dagga with a street value of about R35 000.
The spokesperson of DA in community safety and security, Mr Bosman Grobler said:

“We need a professional, civilian police service.Active steps must be taken to rid the system of corrupt members, to end the scourge of the criminals in the police force and to ensure that the police criminality is appropriately dealt with.“
