Festive season operation duty calls still on track
29 vehicles were discontinued from various roads of the province for being un-roadworthy.
MBOMBELA – Since the MEC for community safety, security and liaison Mr Vusi Shongwe launched the Festive Season Operation Duty Calls campaign two weeks ago, 1360 fines has been issued to motorist for various traffic violations.
According to a media release from the department 29 vehicles were discontinued from various roads of the province for being un-roadworthy.
The department is appealing to roads users to be vigilant at all times and they should ensure that they are fit before undertaking any long distance trip.
