Chill and dance on the pool deck
It is the party that never stops and it is hitting Mbombela this weekend. Temperatures will reach boiling point as Rok n Roll Events brings you the Metro FM Heatwave.
The three-day spectacular event kicks off with a preparty at Cappuccinos at I’langa Mall from 20:00 until late on Friday. House revellers will boogie to the sounds of Metro FM’s Glen Lewis, Tbo Touch as well as Fistas Mixwell and Dj Jawz.
Tbo Touch, host of the Touchdown Drive will broadcast live from Mbombela on Friday and on Saturday, Lerato Kganyago will also be live at the main event at Mbombela Stadium.
Saturday’s event features a line-up with the likes of Boss Zonke, hit maker Ricky Rick, Amon Mokoena, Tbo Touch, Adil, Thebe and our local djs will also showcase their skills on the decks. The event is set to start from 12:00 to 03:00 at Mbombela Stadium’s precinct.
Rok n Roll Events founder, Clifford Masinga calls on citizens to come in large numbers.
“The Heatwave Party is not just your average bash, it is big and the most-talked about event. Listeners will get a chance to interact with on-air personalities and will watch their favorite musicians perform live. Let us support the station’s summer campaign and experience the summer fun,” says Masinga.
On Sunday, a Veuve Clicquot Picnic will be hosted at Emnotweni Sun Hotel pool deck. SweetMike, Unkle Mdu, Vinny Da Vinci, Fistaz Mixwell and Dj Ocean will mesmerise listeners with soothing sounds ideal for a chilled Sunday afternoon.
Tickets to the preparty, main event and the Veuve Clicquot Picnic will cost R150. VIP tickets for the main event are R350 and available at Computicket. Friday and Sunday’s tickets will be available at the venues.
