Judges expect nothing less than contestants best

" The good thing is that all will be winners as they will get to be judged by the best in the industry."

MBOMBELA – Fashion designers opting to audition for the Mpumalanga Designers Development Programme, still have an extra eight days to hone their skills before facing the panel of judges on October 23 at the Nelspruit Hotel and Conference Center from 10:00 to 17:00.
According to Mzimari Productions’ MD, Ncobile Nyarenda,

“It is imperative that all designers prepare themselves for a very thorough auditioning by a panel of judges whose emphasis will be strictly on technical flair, uniqueness and overall appeal of one’s designs.

The advantage for entrants, therefore, is that each designer will be afforded a space to showcase one’s creativity
with their own model.
“I must announce that next week will be a gathering of great minds in the world of fashion designing in the province. The good thing is that all will be winners as they will get to be judged by the best in the industry.

The ultimate winners on the day will be the six finalists that will put their creative skills against each other next month,”
she said.
The six finalists will attend a five-day mentorship workshop camp in November in the company of fashion designers who will assist them with designing two garments for the final event. Enquiries: 013-752-3384.
