Organised by Mzimari Productions, which is responsible for the Crowning Miss Mpumalanga beauty pageant, the main objective of the programme is to provide a platform to develop designers from all corners of the province, provide professional mentoring by renowned fashion designers and to expose them to buyers and merchandisers who can hook them up with leading retailers nationally.
“I must warn those who haven’t contacted our office that the list is getting longer and they need to heed the call to register for the auditions or else they’ll miss the boat.
It’s always good to be a part of the establishment of something as you shall have registered to be a part of its legacy in the long run. The kick-off will dress Miss Mpumalanga, then you’ll be dressing leading politicians, academics, socialites and all trend-setters
in the province.
“We will eventually be brokering deals for them to supply local leading retail stores and boutiques or even open their own outlets at leading malls in the province, eventually also extending it to the export market. Professionalism and distinct unique designs will be some of the criteria required.
