Local doctor dies while jogging

WHITE RIVER – A Themba hospital doctor has reportedly died while jogging on Monday evening.
According to a statement released by the department of health,Doctor Linda Xulu, a male general practitioner, collapsed 800 meters from his house while jogging.
The department stated that medical emergency services were called to the scene and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of his death is thus far not known as a post-mortem is yet to be conducted to determine the cause of death.
MEC for Health, Gillion Mashego has expressed his sadness over the death of the doctor.
“Our deepest condolence goes out to the bereaved family of the doctor.
It is a sad thing to lose such a young doctor whist the province is in need of more doctors. It is quite a huge loss for our health sector,” said Mashego.
