Donation brings joy to community

PwC established the library in 2004 as part of its national corporate-social responsibility initiative. It is housed in a refurbished industrial container and serves the community of Zwelisha.

ZWELISHA – In celebrating International Literacy Month and National Book Week PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) recently donated books to Zwelisha Library to promote reading.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr Tony Mancos of PwC, who, after witnessing the joy of the Zwelisha Primary School learners, said, “We are passionate about uplifting our communities. Since we’ve established this library, we’ve received positive feedback on how it has impacted the community.”

He then went on to add, “Please treasure and look after these books as they are an investment in the youth’s future.”
“The library has become a local haven for educational reference, research and individual interest reading for the members of the community,” said Mancos.

Mr Bheki Phiri of Mbombela Library, which runs the Zwelisha Library expressed his appreciation for the generous donation of books.
“We are very excited to receive these new books and would like to extend our gratitude to PwC. They have continually supported and sustained us throughout all these years,” said Phiri.
