Operation Basadi plays their part in community uplitment

The women in Blue visited the centre to show some love to the children where they donated packs which contained bath soap, tooth paste, tooth brush, face cloth and sanitary towels.

TONGA – Closing off women’s month the Tonga SAPS women network and men for change visited Tholulwazi multi-purpose centre at Kamaqhekeza to hand over some presents to the children who are beneficiaries at the centre.

Tholulwazi multi-purpose centre, a drop in centre which gives support to orphans is a refuge for many vulnerable children. Children from around the area pop in at the centre after school to get some food before they head home.

Capt Thandi Mantshintshi encouraged the children to grab the opportunity with two hands and focus on their studies. She further said they must forget about their backgrounds and focus on their future which is bright.

“A person cannot choose where they come from but they can choose where they want to go, said Mantshintshi.

Capt Delisile Magagula discouraged the involvement of children in criminal activities citing the reasons of poverty adding that they must refrain from doing criminal activities because once their fingerprints can be taken their future will be ruined.
