Local good Samaritan up for ANN7 awards

For her, the nomination is God's way of showing her that He sees her kindness and is pleased with it.

MKHUHLU – When she started doing random acts of kindness, Creseldah Ndlovu was not aware that her selfless acts would be recognised nationally.

The kind and humble good Samaritan says although she is not helping others for the world to see but just extending a helping hand where needed, she is humbled by her latest nomination.

Ndlovu has been nominated for the ANN7 South African of The Year (SATY) under the spirit of humanity category.

For her it is God’s way of showing her that He sees her kindness and is pleased with it.

In 2006 the Mother Theresa of Bushbuckridge, as she is affectionately referred to, established Yesu I Hosi Projects with the aim of helping orphans and vulnerable children.

Late in 2010 she discovered that many young people were not attending universities and she remembered her situation of not having sufficient funds to study.

She founded Creseldah Education Foundation (CEF) to assist them to further their studies despite their family background.

She adds that this nomination came as a huge surprise for her since she is always looking for the good in others and not show off what she does for others.

She proved this by coming up with the Bushbuckridge Heroes Awards where unsung heroes who contributed to their communities around Bushbuckridge.
