You can be part of the next best thing

Nkomazi Gospel Effect will hold auditions on August 15 and 16 in search of over 20 people to form a gospel group.

Music enthusiasts in Nkomazi will be thrilled that an opportunity has been created for them to showcase their abilities in the industry.

Nkomazi Gospel Effect will hold auditions on August 15 and 16 in search of over 20 people to form a gospel group. “We are basically
scouting for talent from all the corners of Nkomazi to form part
of a group that we are working on.

“We want to be the next big thing in the gospel industry, and what sets us apart is the fact that we want to focus strictly on SiSwati in the composition and rendition of these songs.

We have native groups who are doing it well, such as Worship House. We can do that as well, if not even better,” said Banzi Shongwe, one of the organisers.

According to Shongwe, they are looking at going beyond just a group of people who can sing.

“We want to eventually grow to be an NGO and help out in the community in whatever way we can. But that doesn’t mean we’ll take anything that comes along. We are looking for talent and people who are willing to devote their time to making the project a success, even the sky is not the limit with us, we are going to make it happen,” he added.

Judges will include Goodman Mgibe, S’celo Khoza and Indumiso Gospel Choir. The auditions will be held at Porter’s House in Tonga at 12:00.
