Kishugu honour Madiba

Miss Mpumalanga 2014, Natasha dos Santos accompanied by Kishugu and Working on fire (Wof) fire fighters recently celebrated Mandela Day by blessing an orphanage center of 98 children with food parcels and clothes.

PIENAAR-Dos Santos calls on the society to make Mandela Day an everyday thing. “Every person has a duty to be socially responsible to make our country and the world a better place. Let us not wait for that date given to us to bring change, a small little change begins with a smile and an act of kindness”.

“This is a global movement to honour his legacy and an act to change the world for the better by making a difference in one’s life, so it is our duty to carry on what has already been started”, said Dos Santos.

Ms Monica Fourie, a communication’s Practitioner at Kishugu said apart from this, they donated blankets and second hand clothing to the orphanage that cares for nearly 100 children.

“Our company has a Working on Fire Programme that uplift and educate communities, it is a great privilege and honour to be able to be in the position to give back to a cause such as this one, to assist in the upliftment and education of our youth’, she said.

Kishugu and Natasha Dos Santos took the opportunity to give back to the communities as part of Mandela Day activities; they donated school uniforms to 30 learners from Msogwaba Primary School, Shishila Primary School, Mandlesive High School and Gedlembane High School.

Caretaker and Manager of the Siyakhula House Centre in Pienaar, Margaret Shobgwe expresses her joy to Kishugu. “God answered my prayer and I’m truly thankful that Kishugu approached me to address our needs during a very difficult time and season , as it is winter,” said Margaret Shongwe.
