Police Constable thrown from moving vehicle

In the meantime, the police have intensified investigations in a quest to find those who are responsible for what happened to Machabe.

MBOMBELA– The Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen (Adv) Mark Magadlela slams a heartless incident that happened against a female police constable on July 28.

According to an eye witness, he saw a woman being pushed out of a moving vehicle and went to investigate and was shocked to find a badly injured woman lying on the side of the Kendal off-ramp road in Ogies. The man then summoned the police.

“A preliminary probe uncovered that the victim is Const Nokukhanya Machabe (31), stationed at Delmas SAPS. Emergency services confirmed that Machabe sustained serious head injuries and had to be admitted in the intensive care unit for medical treatment,” he said.

“The motive for this barbaric incident is currently unknown. Machabe was apparently on her way from Bronkhornspruit to meet her brother who is also a police official when she met her attacker(s),”explained Mohlala.

The Provincial Commissioner and his management wishes Machabe a speedy recovery. In the meantime, the police have intensified investigations in a quest to find those who are responsible for what happened to Machabe.

“Such acts are closely associated with evil and must not be condoned by society. We therefore call upon the community to assist us in finding the culprit(s) before they strike again causing pain and grief to someone else. I can assure the family that we will unleash all efforts in our disposal to crack this case and put the perpetrator(s) behind bars,” said Magadlela.

Anyone with information is requested to contact Warrant Officer Simon Matshika at 072 274 8592.
