Forensic Services plants vagetables

Uthando Centre was lucky to have a new garden planted by Forensic Services (Local Crime Record Centre) as they spent their 67 minutes in celebrating Mandela Day.

MASOYI – Uthando Centre was lucky to have a new garden planted by Forensic Services (Local Crime Record Centre) as they spent their 67 minutes in celebrating Mandela Day.

The team stated they didn’t have much to buy or give, but they volunteered their time to give the centre food for life and that was health from the garden, as they planted a variety of vegetables.

Lindokuhle Mthombothi of the Forensic Services team said in this way they wanted to continue the Mandela legacy.

“We just wanted to give back to the community, although we don’t have money to buy food, sometimes the food is stored in the fridge for some reasons. We decided to plant vegetables so that when they go hungry, they can just come to the garden to get something to feed themselves.

“It is a continuous respon-sibility as we will come back to monitor this garden. This way they will also learn to be responsible and stay positive,” said Mthombothi.
