Bakery company invest in schools

The aim of the project is to assist needy schools and invest in the future of children as they are the future of the nation.

MBOMBELA- The popular slogan, “Working together we can do more,” bore desired fruits as Albany Bakeries along with Shoprite concluded their school-donation tour in Mpumalanga.

The campaign was aimed at donating much-needed school necessities as per their wish lists. Learners and teachers of Sinetjudu Primary School and Hlomani Secondary School were recently given dictionaries and an overhead projector, while Thandulwazi Primary School in KaNyamazane, Magaduzela and Motwaneng primary schools.

According to Colin Nkosi, the company’s controller part of the beneficiaries, they were nominated by listeners during a programme on local radio stations. “Listeners called during the show and nominated schools of their choice which we then visit and donate required items to.

The aim of the project is to assist needy schools and invest in the future of children as they are the future of the nation. “So far the campaign has been running smoothly and we are proud to have given back to communities that support the Albany brand,” says Nkosi.
Albany’s marketing manager Nosipho Mokabela said Albany was honoured to have the opportunity of helping communities build a better future and to offer support to schools.
