BUSHBUCKRIDGE – The local police are investigating a murder case and inquest after a 33-year-old man fatally shot his girlfriend and turned the barrel of the gun to himself.
This incident took place around 07:00 on Wednesay , at the girlfriend’s parental home in Bushbuckridge.
Information at the disposal of police reveals that the man went to his girlfriend’s home and an argument ensued between the two lovers while they were in her bedroom.
The boyfriend then shot his lover before turning the gun to himself .
“Both of them were certified dead at the scene and a post-mortem is underway. The reason that led to these brutal killing is not yet known and investigations are continuing,”explained Brig Selvy Mohlala.
“Police also discovered that the firearm’s serial number was filed off and it will be sent to ballistic for investigation purposes,”he adds.
The police management in Mpumalanga condemns the unnecessary loss of life. Whenever there are misunderstandings or any allegations within families, they must gather together and solve the issues or seek professional assistance than solving problems with the mouth of the barrel.
