A 40-year-old woman fell victim of hijacking in Nkomazi last night, by four perpetrators.

TONGA – A 40-year-old woman fell victim of hijacking in Nkomazi last night, by four perpetrators.
According to Tonga SAPS, the woman was driving from church when she parked her vehicle at the gate to enter her house, when two unknown males pointed a firearm at her.
“According to the statement offered by the victim, the suspects then instructed her to return to the vehicle and drove away with her.

They stopped to pick up two more suspects and their faces were covered with hats. They then demanded her cellphone and hand bag, which had her wallet and bank cards. She was abandoned somewhere in Mbuzini , and the suspects fled with her car,” said Lt. Mzwandile Nyambi, of Tonga SAPS.
He also confirmed that the car was recovered in the bushes at Mbuzini, but the suspects are still at large.
“We are still investigating the matter further, and the Station Commander, Brig. Velisiwe Mdaka, has appealed to the community for any information that could lead them to arrests. Anyone with information can contact: Lt. Sikhumbuzo Ceko on 082 937 2570,” he concluded.
