Dismembered body parts found at Sasol

The police with the Sasol Intelligence Unit had launched an investigation into this matter to determine whether the victim was an employee, a contractor or someone who had been trespassing.

SECUNDA – Employees and management of Sasol were horrified when a dismembered body was discovered at the plant on Sunday.

According to police spokesperson Brig Selvy Mohlala the head of a human was found in the conveyor belt used to transport coal to the coastal station.

“The employee who made this discovery immediately switched off the machine and notified management and other employees. Immediately a search for the missing body was instituted. The body with its amputated right arm was discovered in one of the coal shafts at alater stage,” explained Mohlala.

The police with the Sasol Intelligence Unit had launched an investigation into this matter to determine whether the victim was an employee, a contractor or someone who had been trespassing.

Police further urged anyone with information that could assist in clearing up this matter, to call the Secunda Police Station on 017-624-2125 or Crime Stop on 08600-10111.
