Wanted suspect nabbed

The suspect was wanted for a series of house robberies in allegedly committed in March 2012, November 2014 and December 2014.

AMERSFOORT – A 29-year-old man, who was wanted for burglary cases that were committed at Zamokuhle Location near Amersfoort, has been nabbed and will be appearing before the Amersfoort Magistrate’s Court today 10 June 2015, facing three counts of house breaking and theft.

The suspect, who had been on the run for sometime was busted on Monday on the streets of Zamokuhle.

“He was spotted by a police official who was busy with other official duties around the area. He then summoned a back up, as a result the suspect was arrested. He is positively linked with three counts of house breaking and theft, one at a residential area and two at business premises, through finger prints,”explained Brig Selvy Mohlala.

It is alleged that he committed the first incident in March 2012, where he allegedly broke into a bottle store and stole liquor. The other two were committed in November and December 2014. In the November he allegedly broke into a house where he stole bedding, farming equipments and groceries while in December he allegedly broke at a local school and stole a photocopying machine, cutlery as well as a grocery.

“A profiling of the suspect is continuing to check his involvement in other crimes,”continued Mohlala.
