ELUKWATINI – The situation is calm and back to normal in the community after a two-day protest that brought the area to a standstill.

Although community members have agreed to allow the law to take its course, they told Mpumalanga News that it does not mean they are happy with how the police have handled the matter.

The angry residents embarked on the strike after four members of the community were arrested after a mob killed members of a gang,Wrong Turn, which has been terrorizing them for a long time.

“This is not over. Our fellow members must be released or else we’ll be back on the streets. On Thursday municipal general workers were cleaning up the main road which was burnt during the protest.

We spoke to several community members who told us how the strike had affected them and how the gang traumatized the whole community.
