TUT Freshers Ball ready to roll

Khuli Chana, who was named hip-hop male artist of the year at the South African Music Awards, will headline this year's annual TUT Mbombela campus' Freshers Ball.

Khuli Chana, who was named hip-hop male artist of the year at the South African Music Awards, will headline this year’s annual TUT Mbombela campus’ Freshers Ball.

Scheduled for tomorrow from dusk till dawn, this award-winning hip-hop sensation will share the stage with some of the country’s heavyweights in the music industry, such as Dr Malinga, Heavy K, Uhuru, Busiswa and Black Motion.

Also billed to wow many Lowvelders and music lovers on the night are DJs Shabba, Madumane, Terance, Tee Tee and Chyma Musique.

Once again the event organisers have promised nothing but fireworks and good music from the very start. “This is certainly a line-up to die for. We did not just hand-pick these artists, we had to listen to the students and the general public’s views as to who is hot and happening in the music circles.

All of these artists are currently on demand and we are actually lucky to have them coming to our bash since they have a busy schedule.

“So, come one, come all, because this is a once-in-a-lifetime treat where we have a star-studded line-up,” said the organisers.
The ever- electrifying Dr Malinga is expected to give music lovers a dose of what’s in his latest house offering, while Heavy K and Busiswa are expected to bless the audience with their sexy moves.

As for the Motswako rapper, Khuli, a lot is expected from him because he hasn’t been travelling much since his shooting incident.

Tickets for the bash are selling at a mere R50 for students, R100 for non-students and R250 for VIPs.
