Developers say case withdrawal does not mean a win

LIHAWU – A court’s decision to withdraw the case over land ownership between developers and illegal land occupiers of the land lying adjacent to the Lihawu main road, has resulted in mixed reactions.

Nkosi and members of the community now believed that the withdrawal of the matter by the KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court meant victory for them, hence their committee visited Mpumalanga News’ offices immediately after the court’s decision. They had also called a meeting on Sunday and urged the community to continue occupying the land.

On the other hand the developers of the land in question had since sent a stern warning to the community not to be misled over the withdrawal of the matter.

The application against the land’s invasion still continues,” the developers concluded.
