MBOMBELA – All eyes will be glued to the MEC of Finance, Mr Eric Kholwane as he delivers his much awaited policy and budget speech of the new financial year.
Kholwane is expected to deliver the budget speech today at 14H00 at the provincial legislature.
The spokesperson of the Democratic Alliance on financial matters, Mr Antony Benadie has stated that Kholwane must ensure that the health department receives sufficient money to employ more health care proffessionals and reduce the vacancy rate by 10%.
Benadie said that the DA doesn’t expect any real changes to occur in the premier’s office budget allocation.
“On the premier’s office, the DA does not expect any real changes to occur with regards to his allocation. This department needs to develop strategies and continues on its oversight and intervention when there is a need,” said Benadie.
