Rape suspect on the loose

TONGA – An 89-year-old female has reportedly been raped at Hoyi Trust on Sunday in her home.

According to Tonga Police, the victim alleges that her daughter made her tea before she left to church and suddenly after a couple of minutes she felt somebody dragging her down aggressively.

“She tried told the police that she attempted screaming but the suspect covered her mouth and forcefully raped her and fled of scene,” said Lieutenant Mzwandile Nyambi, Spokeperson for Tonga SAPS.
The police have warned the public to ensure that they keep doors closed at all times for safety reasons.
