Police launch manhunt for six armed house robbery suspects

According to the police the suspects pointed the victim and her children with a fire-arm and demanded bank cards

TONGA – The police are looking for six suspects who robbed a 44- year- old woman inside her house just after midnight on Wednesday. The suspects fled with  a large amount of money, laptop, shoes and school bags.

According to the police the suspects pointed the victim and her children with a fire-arm and  demanded bank cards and others went to withdraw the money while the other three were guarding them in the house.

“When they came back they searched the house and  found church money that a church had contributed for building and they took the money and cellphones.

The family is still undergoing counseling as they were traumatized by the incident but no one was hurt during the robbery,” the police said.

Tonga police are investigating a case of house robbery and appealing to the community to help in arresting the suspects.

They also warned the community to refrain from keeping large amount of cash.
