Working on Fire to recruit fire fighters

Recruitees must be prepared to do physical fitness test which includes : running a 2.4 km in ten minutes for males and 12 minute for females ,40 pushups one minutes for both males and females ,40 sit ups one minute for both males and females and minimum of seven pull ups for both males and females.

MBOMBELA- Mpumalanga’s Working on Fire team will be recruiting fire fighters across the province to prepare for the next fire season.
Recruitment will take place on the following dates and places:

February 3-5:Loskop, Dr JS Moroka and Mdala
February 4: Ermelo
February 5: Breyton
February 9: Badplaas
February 10:Mayflower and Mlambongwane
February 12 : Wilgeboom
February 13 : Watervaal Bovern
February 17 : Belfast and Nelspruit
February 19 : LEFPA and Nkomazi

Mpumalanga, WoF General Manager Martin Bolton encourages the communities to attend recruitment events.
“We ensure that all the posts reach communities in time and be placed in visible places for easy access”, said Bolton.
He added that the programme advertises its recruitment by placing post in community halls, bus terminals, taxi ranks and in fire fighters Base camps.
