BCR FM ready to be bigger and better this year

On a recent visit Mpumalanga News learnt that the station was now broadcasting in new studios.

The Barberton Community Radio Station, (BCR FM) is ready to take broadcasting to the next level and restore its good image.

This was proved last week after management managed to remedy the situation as many residents labelled it a sinking boat, and now the station has started from scratch.

Since 2011 BCR FM had been experiencing a financial crisis due to the fact that it was not receiving funds from the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA), and was relying on advertising for survival. This badly impacted staff members causing them not to receive their salaries at times.
