Two young people commit suicide

This publication has since established that a 19 year–old learner from Thembeka High School, took her life after she allegedly overdosed pain killers (tablets) while a 30 year–old man allegedly hung himself.

PIENAAR – Local police has urged parents to have good relations or make sure that they are in constant communication with their children wherever they go this festive season.

This comes after a number of suicide incidents have reportedly taken place in this area and surroundings.

Mpumalanga News has since learnt that this week alone two young people committed suicide in different incidents.

These incidents have left many residents in shocked and with unanswered questions.

This publication has since established that a 19 year–old learner from Thembeka High School, took her life after she allegedly overdosed pain killers (tablets) while a 30 year–old man allegedly hung himself at Mashobane.

Speaking to this publication, the spokesperson for the local police station, Sgt Jabu Ndubane said,

“We have discovered two people in different areas within our policing area who committed suicide.
We encourage parents to communicate with their kids so that they are able to share their problems with them.”

Ndubane said that they have not yet located the relatives of the a 30-year-old man.

She then appealed to community members to help them locate the family members of the deceased.
