Tonga – A 33-year-old man from Steenbok Trust in Nkomazi has appeared before the Nkomazi Magistrate’s court for raping a 14 year-old boy at about 20h00 at the victim’s house.
According to Tonga SAPS, the victim was asleep when all of a sudden appeared the suspect in his bedroom holding a knife.
“The suspect ordered the victim to undress and he then raped the victim, after he has finished he took clothes belonging to the victim’s father and escaped, while he was escaping he came across the father of the victim and stabbed him,” said Lieutenant Mzwandile Nyambi of Tonga SAPS.
Cases of rape and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm were opened at Tonga SAPS. The victim was taken to hospital where it was confirmed that he was indeed raped. The victim is undergoing counselling.
“The suspect was arrested and he has appeared before court. He has been remanded in custody; the case is postponed to 2014-12-17 for bail application.”
