Parolee’s murder case postponed

An axe with blood stains was found at the deceased home.

MBOMBELA – A 29- year- old parolee arrested for murder of a 40-year-old woman, which shocked the community of Msholozi ‘s Section D during the 16 Days of Activism of No Violence Against Women and Children last year briefly appeared in Nelspruit Regional Court.

The murder case against Mr Collen Hlungwane was postponed to April 22 next year. He is accused of the murder of Ms Khonzi Sengwane who was found naked in a metal bathtub full of water on December 5 last year at her neighbour’s home.

White River SAPS, pathologists and EMS officials were called to the scene and found an axe with blood stains in the deceased’s shack which lied about 30 metres from where her body was found.
Post-mortem results revealed that the victim died of head injuries
