MBOMBELA – The swing and jive of a 1950’s township will come alive at a St Peter’s School fund-raiser on Friday, October 31.

A Sophiatown-in-the-spring themed dinner and dance will be held at the school hall, starting at 19:00. The funds raised will go towards the production of the musical, Beauty and the Beast, which the school will perform next year.

Tickets cost R150 per person.

The venue will be decked out in true dance-hall fashion and guests are asked to dress up according to the theme. They will receive a welcome drink and dinner will be served. Soft drinks will be on sale but guests can bring their own stronger beverages.

After dinner a DJ will spin the vibrant music of a bygone era for guests to show-off their vibrant dance moves.

Care for children will be available at R20 per child. This will include a hot dog, packet of chips and a soft drink. Child care must be booked before the event.

Tickets are available at the school’s admin office.
