Buy your tickets to assist families who are in need

"We encourage and appeal to the general public to support the initiative by buying more tickets ".

BUSHBUCKRIDGE – The Department of Finance together with chief sponsor, Big Five Harley Davidson conducted another successful fund-raising roadshow on Friday, October 17 in the area, during which it sold an impressive number of raffle tickets.

With the closing date to the final draw of the competition drawing nearer, the department still has 27 of its last batches of tickets to sell.

“We encourage and appeal to the general public to support the initiative by buying more tickets. This will also help to intensify their chances of walking away with a prize on the last day,” said the spokesperson for the department,
Mr Jonas Letshela.

The crew made their first stop at the local plaza before they moved on to Acornhoek where they got the entire township abuzz with interesting activities while selling their tickets.

“Despite having slight challenges minutes before we started, I still believe that the people in this community were awesome and have given us much support,” said one of the crew members,
Ms Buhle Mkhonto.

Regardless of the possibility of the department and the biker fraternity running out of time, they both hope for better outcomes during the next fund-raising roadshow in Lydenburg on November 1.

“There will be another two road hows after the one in Lydenburg and by then all participants will know who walks away with the sportster bike as well as the other prizes to be won on the day,” said Letshela.
