Kiaat Hospital’s first patient satisfied with service

Lying on the bed, the patient, Mr Dean Alexander from White River, said he decided to go to the hospital because it was the closest on his way from home and he was in severe pain to drive further to other hospitals in town.

MBOMBELA – It’s all systems go at the newly-launched hospital, Kiaat Private Hospital.

With their first patient arriving first thing on Wednesday morning, the Chief Executive Officer of the facility, Dr Corne Ackerman said she was excited and looking forward to many busy days.

“This is awesome! It has been a lot of hard work put together to ensure the success of this day and to me, seeing the first patient walk in, is experiencing hard work coming to fruition,” she said.

Lying on the bed, the patient, Mr Dean Alexander from White River, said he decided to go to the hospital because it was the closest on his way from home and he was in severe pain to drive further to other hospitals in town.

“Despite the fact that it is their first day, the staff knew what they were supposed to do the minute I walked into the door and ensured that I feel comfortable.

The smiley nurses made me experience warmth and I’m glad I came here. No regrets at all,” he said.

One of the doctors, Dr Caswell Nkuna said he was excited to be part of the team and was expecting a full day going forth.

“The response from the public is not disappointing and I’m confident that we will do well. I mean, the hospital has been aggressively marketed and is very much well positioned,” said Nkuna.
