MBOMBELA – In an era where virginity has lost its significance and has almost been dubbed “stupid” because teenagers are suffering from what they refer to as “fomo”,the fear of missing out, Nolungelo Shongwe begs to differ.

The 17-year-old Miss Indoni Swati says she is proud of her culture and intends to keep embracing it.

“It all starts from understanding who you are, where you come from, and what you know you want from this life,” she said.

Nolungelo says she takes it upon herself to educate and create awareness among her peers about the beauty and importance of culture.

“Being crowned Miss Indoni is a great achievement because I get to do what I love, talking to people about culture awareness. I really wish we were more aware of this in our schools and societies so that our youth don’t continue going astray,” she added.
