The Ncwanes clear the air with Mbokazi

Gospel star, Sfiso Ncwane, together with his wife Ayanda Ncwane, and business woman, Zanele Mbokazi has responded to the article published on Daily Sun recently.

Gospel star, Sfiso Ncwane, together with his wife Ayanda Ncwane, and businesswoman, Zanele Mbokazi has responded to the article published on Daily Sun recently.

The article is said to have alleged that Ncwane is boycotting the Gospel Crown Awards as an aftermath of the competition between Mbokazi and Sfiso’s wife Ayanda.

Ayanda has rubbished the claims and says that she looks up to Zanele for inspiration. “Yes I look up to her, she inspires me, we are in the same industry but we not doing the same things. She is more experienced, she is a Pastor and a successful businesswoman.

She is my role model. She is doing extra ordinary things and just like myself, she doesn’t like doing ordinary things,” she said.
Ayanda went on to assert that the reporter of the story was bitter because she had asked for Ayanda to pay for her rent, which she refused.

“This year, she has called me four times asking me if I had anything to say about sis’ Zanele. She also asked me for rent money which I did not have, as a result I did not give her. I believe this is also the reason she is angry with me.

She lied about us boycotting the Crowns because she did not speak to me. When she called for this story, I asked her to send me an email, which she did not send and the next thing I saw the story on the paper.

She continued to say if she did not have a juicy story, she would lose her job. It is therefore clear that she was too desperate for the story” she added.

On the other hand, Zanele has expressed her relief at the matter being resolved. “I’m happy that we get to finally put the issue to rest. The media cannot perpetuate the lie that Sfiso and the Crowns have a sour relationship.

The game is now over and he is not boycotting the Crowns, there is no competition between myself and Ayanda. We cannot entertain this any further, I’m a business woman and I have church matters to attend to. I do not have time for such mundane issue. Reporters who are short of stories or in search of juicy angles must refer to this letter.”

Sfiso has given his word that there is no way he is boycotting the Crowns, he further confirmed that his album will be out after the awards.

“I am not boycotting the Crown Gospel Music Awards. No one has ever enquired to me about this. Ayanda and I have never badmouthed the Crowns, and I do not have a new album yet, we are still working on it and will be released after the Crowns.

Even the public and those reading the stories must know that the rum ours are not true. Gospel Crowns are God’s work and I fully support them. This is the only event that recognizes Gospel Artists’ work in South Africa.”

It has all been sealed and put to bed, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule has also weighed in on the matter to express his sigh of relief.

“We are grateful that all parties have been able to put the rumors to bed. Such talks and such unfounded messages and feeding the public with wrong information can have severe damages. I am happy that Zanele, Sfiso and Ayanda have cleared the air. Siyabonga!”
