RAF in Mpumalanga for Public Consultations

Due to high public interest, the Department of Transport (DoT) found it sensible to extend by 90 days, the period for public consultation and comment in respect of the draft Road Accident Benefit Scheme Bill.

Due to high public interest, the Department of Transport (DoT) found it sensible to extend by 90 days, the period for public consultation and comment in respect of the draft Road Accident Benefit Scheme Bill (RABS) and draft Regulations, first published for comment under General Notice 337 and 338 respectively, in Government Gazette No. 37612 of 9 May 2014.

According to DoT, a number of locations throughout the country have been identified to hold public consultations on the bill.

Media practitioners and journalists are invited to take advantage of this great opportunity to engage the RAF and DoT representatives as well as key stakeholders in attendance.

Provincial RABS Bill public consultations will take place next in Mpumalanga on the 15th and 16th of September 2014.
