SAPS prayer revival to close Women’s Month

Top police officials took part in the provincial women’s prayer revival at the House of Praise in Secunda as part of Women’s Month closing event

The deputy national commissioner of SAPS Lt Gen Christine Mbekela as well as the provincial commissioner of Mpumalanga, Lt Gen Thulani Ntobela hosted the provincial women’s prayer revival at the House of Praise in Secunda as part of Women’s Month closing event.

“Vigorous transformation processes have taken place in the SAPS, including that of fighting crime through the guidance and protection of God which is of paramount importance, hence the prayer today,” explained Brig Selvy Mohlala.

He urged members of the police members to view prayer as an opportunity to request divine intervention from God to assist in them in their quest of reducing the scourge of crime that continue to salvage our the community.

The revival was also marked by the presenting of newly recruited members for Secunda Cluster to the community as part of the police revised recruitment strategy which stipulates that recruitment is now community based and requires community’s involvement in the selection and recruitment of police trainees.

Out of the 189 astute candidates in the province 21 comes from Secunda. The candidtaes have Mpumalanga have successfully passed the grooming camp and need to be introduced to the community.
