Community recovers stolen goods

Tonga- The community of Naas, Nhlalakahle section, near Tonga have recovered stolen properties from suspects who were terrorising their area committing house robberies, house breakings, theft and rape.

According to Lieutenant Mzwandile Nyambi, the community received a tip off that there is a certain house full of suspected stolen properties.

“The community followed the information and found some of the suspected stolen properties in the house. Upon interrogation by the community, the suspects admitted that they have stolen the goods and pointed where they have hidden some of it and the people who sold it to them,” said Nyambi.

Nyambi went on to condemn the act of the community taking the law into their own hands.

“We would like to thank the community for working together, but we condemn people taking the law in to their own hands as the suspects who bought stolen properties were not arrested,” he said.
