The Regiment Botha’s Annual Freedom of the Town and Sunset Parades at Barberton is back by popular demand and even better this time around. The parades will take place on the same day for the first time on the 30th of August.

It will take place at the Barberton’s Town Hall and will feature a street parade format, whilst the annual Remembrance Parade will take place at the Barberton’s Garden of Remembrance, with a sunset parade format.

According to Andre de Witt, Corporate Communications Officer for Regiment Botha, the parade is definitely something to eagerly look forward to. “It promises to be an excellent opportunity to socialize with our friends of the Regiment Botha’s fraternity such as the local industry, and Barberton community inside or outside the military,” he said.

De Witt has also confirmed that the South African Irish Regiment, Wits Rifles, and the Transvaal Scottish Regiment will partake in all the events for the Unit bearers of Barberton.
