Eskom presents energy effecient airconditioner

When it was announced that electricity prices will increase by 7% for the next 5 years because of the high electricity usage, it never sunk well in the hearts of people in offices since it means they will not be able to use their air conditioners as much as they may want to.

When it was announced that electricity prices will increase by 7% for the next 5 years because of the high electricity usage, it never sunk well in the hearts of people in offices since it means they will not be able to use their air conditioners as much as they may want to.

But this is no longer a problem since Samsung Electronics South Africa has come up with less electricity consuming materials.
“Air conditioners are notorious for being heavy consumers of electricity, but this is now a thing of the past, as a Digital Variable Multi system offers an innovative, energy efficient, high performance heating and air conditioning system, which is both flexible and cost-effective,” said Michael McKechnie, Divisional Head for Digital Air Solutions at Samsung Electronics SA.
According to Samsung, this means people can be able to use their air-con without the fear of wasting too much electricity.
“Many large enterprises often keep their lights on throughout the day and evening, even when the office space is not being used, which consumes large amounts of electricity,” he added.
According to the gigantic electronic company, the LED lighting is a perfect way to minimize energy usage, whilst managing eco-efficiencies and overall cost saving within work environments.
“In comparison to incandescent and halogen lamps, LED lights reduce energy consumption by up to 80%, this means that the appliances are cost effective but well-functioning,” narrated McKechnie.
“Technological innovations in the way air conditioners and lighting systems that are used in office spaces cannot only save organization’s money but also contribute towards a more sustainable business, with minimal effort from the company,” concluded Mckenchnie.
